Converting PDF to Word extracts the text from a document so you can edit it again. This free PDF-to-DOCX converter pulls the text out in your browser, with nothing uploaded.
It is worth being straight about what this does and does not do. It recovers the text, page by page, into an editable Word document. It does not rebuild the original layout: columns, tables, text boxes and precise positioning are not reconstructed. If you need to recover the wording of a document — to reuse a paragraph, update an old contract, or translate something — this gets you there quickly. If you need a pixel-perfect editable copy of a designed brochure, no converter will do that well.
One important limitation: a scanned PDF is a photograph of a page, not text. There is nothing to extract, and the tool will tell you so rather than produce an empty file. Recovering text from a scan requires OCR, which SiriTools does not currently do.

- Why is my converted document just plain text?

- It says it cannot read any text. Why?
- The PDF is almost certainly a scan — an image of a page with no text layer. Extracting words from a scan needs OCR, which this tool does not do.
- Is my PDF uploaded?
- No. Text extraction happens in your browser and the file stays on your device.
- Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
- Not while it is locked. Unlock it in your PDF reader first.
- Are images in the PDF carried across?
- No. Only text is extracted. To keep the pages as pictures, use PDF to images instead.
